What Is Vanderbilt Women in Business?

In the spring of 2015, six undergraduate women sought to disrupt Vanderbilt’s business community by founding Vanderbilt University’s first Women in Business organization. In the past six years, Women in Business (WiB) has expanded to an executive team of nine, a leadership team of over 30, and a community of 600 students. \n\nWe have meticulously crafted a programming framework that aligns with our mission, encompassing committees dedicated to Mentorship, Externship, Career Services, Community Engagement, and Marketing. Within these arenas, we endeavor to foster professional growth and pave the way for our community members to thrive, extending our support not only throughout their collegiate journey but also beyond the auspicious milestone of graduation.\n\nOrganization-wide, we are committed to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our programming is intersectional in nature, elevating historically underrepresented identities. We aim to create an empowering and safe space to foster brave ideas through critical discussion. As a mission-forward organization, we uplift women and marginalized groups, advocating for a more just campus and workplace. Most of all, we set ambitious goals for progress, leading with love and openness along the way.
