What Is iCivics?

iCivics empowers teachers with effective and engaging resources to develop the next generation of citizens. iCivics' game-centered curriculum provides middle and high school students with the knowledge and tools they need for active participation in our democracy. The games place students in different civic roles and give them agency to address real-world problems and issues. They are rooted in clear learning objectives and integrated with lesson plans and other curricular materials. The iCivics curriculum is created by educators, and aligns to state and Common Core standards. More than 65,000 teachers have successfully implemented iCivics, and students using the program have been found to be more knowledgeable, engaged, and eager to participate in civic action and discussion.
